THE MANAGERIAL PERFORMANCE OF MUNICIPAL CHIEF EXECUTIVES OF BATANGAS PROVINCE

Rationale:
Municipal Chief Executive’s managerial performance are necessary to measure their administrative capability in dealing with poverty, crime, diseases, calamities, drug addiction, unemployment and other social problems as well as in the delivery of the given services, interest in expanding locally- administered program and projects, their ability to gain financial and technical support from external sources and their ability to ensure maximum output from scarce resources.

The proponent of the study believes that a combination of a well manage locality and improve quality of life of the people through managerial process, goal attainment, service delivery, organizational structure and development is necessary for local governance efficiency and effectiveness.

Conclusion
In line with the research findings, the following conclusions are drawn:

1. The profile of mandatory department heads qualification shows competencies in the job.
2. The goals and objectives of the municipalities can be attained as planned through the vision/mission that respond to the needs and clearly understood by the people.
3. Managerial functions such as planning, staffing, directing, controlling, and reporting can be discuss during meetings to improve their performances.
4. Selected Municipal Chief executives of Batangas Province are effective public servant.
5. The managerial performance of the municipal chief executives of the Province of Batangas can still be improved.

Recommendations
The research was concluded from the public administration perspective, the focus of which was determining the status and managerial processes of the Municipal Chief Executive to forge new directions or institute changes on the managerial performance the researcher’s recommendations are as follows:

1. Local Government employees qualification should be evaluated periodically to improve their performance.
2. The vision/mission of municipalities should be assess every three years.
3. Chief executives should consider other policies and programs that can maximize satisfaction of their residents.
4. Similar studies be conducted in another localities to find out the validity of this research.
